On Wednesday May 10th, An-Noor Private Islamic School held its Annual Multicultural Day Exhibition.
The exhibition portrayed displays from the diverse cultural backgrounds of the school’s students. It gave visitors a chance to experience different cultures, artifacts and clothing from countries all around the world. Guests tasted food prepared by dedicated staff and parents.
There were vendors displaying abayas, religious books, stories, prayer beads, various hijabs and head coverings, and hand crafted articles, etc. Many had their hands beautifully painted with Henna. Students dressed in the traditional attire from their countries.
The event was open to the community and was an honour to be a part of. The exhibit was open from 9:30am – 1:30PM and guests were welcome to purchase lunch from the Multicultural Bake Sale beginning at 11PM.
Many members of the community were in attendance, including staff from the Member of Parliament for Windsor-West Brian Masse’s Office, MPP Percy Hatfield, and honoured members of the community.
