أعلنت وزارة الصحّة الكنديّة عن بدء العمل بتطبيق إنذار كوفيد على الهواتف الذكيّة في مقاطعة أونتاريو، بانتظار أن يتوفّر في كافّة أنحاء البلاد.
ويرسل التطبيق المسمّى تنبيه كوفيد Covid Alert رسالة يتعرّف المتلقّي من خلالها إن كان قد اختلط بشخص مصاب بمرض كوفيد-19 خلال الأربعة عشر يوما الأخيرة.
وفي حين يؤكّد المسؤولون الكنديّون أن الحكومة تهدف لنشر التطبيق في كافّة أنحاء البلاد، وأنّها تجري محادثات بشأنه مع الحكومات المحليّة في المقاطعات، إلّا أنّهم لم يتمكّنوا من تحديد الموعد الذي سيكون متوفّرا فيه خارج مقاطعة أونتاريو.
كما أنّهم لم يتمكّنوا أن يوضحوا لماذا وافقت حكومة أونتاريو وحدها دون سواها على استخدام التطبيق.
ويستخدم التطبيق تقنيّة بلوتوث، و يتلقّى المستخدم بعد تنزيله، إنذارا في حال اختلط بأشخاص مصابين.
كما يوجّه التطبيق تنبيها إلى كلّ هاتف خليويّ كان على مسافة مترين من هاتف الشخص المصاب لمدّة 15 دقيقة على الأقلّ، في حال كان التطبيق متوفّرا على هذا الهاتف.
ويتلقّى مستخدمو التطبيق أيضا بالإضافة إلى التنبيه، معلومات حول ما ينبغي عليهم القيام به.
استخدام التطبيق ليس إلزاميّا:
وقال رئيس الحكومة الكنديّة جوستان ترودو، الذي قام شخصيّا بتنزيل التطبيق على هاتفه الخليوي، إنّ استخدامه غير إلزامي.
“أودّ أن أكون واضحا، التطبيق ليس إلزاميّا، وتحميله طوعي وكذلك استخدامه”: رئيس الحكومة جوستان ترودو.
مستجدات الإصابات
إرتفع عدد الإصابات بوباء كورونا في كندا إلى أكثر من 116,884 حالة منهم أكثر من 39,449 في أونتاريو.
كما إرتفع عدد الإصابات إلى 2,340 في ويندسوراليوم أي بزيادة (7) إصابات عن يوم أمس و لم تسجل اي حالة وفاة ليبقى عدد الوفيات 71 ، و عدد الإصابات في “تشاتم كنت” 248 أما في ميتشيغان المجاورة فسجلت أكثر من 82782 إصابة .
و تقول الوحدة الصحية أن 4 من 7 إصابات هي لمزارعين.
The federal government-backed exposure notification smartphone app has launched, marking the beginning of a new frontier in the coronavirus fight: alerting participating Canadians when they come in proximity to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
The app — called COVID Alert and available on Android or Apple devices — will compile anonymized data and use reports from confirmed positive COVID-19 cases to notify Canadians when they’ve been in proximity to someone who has the virus. It has received the stamp of approval from federal and provincial privacy watchdogs, though it leaves infection contact tracing up to public health officials.
While the initial rollout is just underway in Ontario, Canadians across the country are able, and are being encouraged to download the app in anticipation of more provincial and territorial health authorities signing on to use the new software. Talks are ongoing with other provinces to come on board in the coming days, including New Brunswick and British Columbia, with a federal source saying that all Atlantic provinces are “very close” to signing on to use the app.
7 new Cases in Windsor
The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 7 new cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, bringing the local total to 2,340. .
The Health Unit says 4 of the 7 cases are agri-farm workers, 2 cases are from the community, and 1 case is travel-related.
